Toward the end of June, PASS announced Microsoft as a Premium sponsor for the 2020 PASS Virtual Summit. What does that mean? Here are 3 things:
1. 1:1 virtual meetings – Microsoft Azure Data Clinic. Having Microsoft at the Summit over the past 2 decades has been a valuable resource for attendees. If you have a ‘problem/issue’, you can sit with someone, and if that person cannot help, they will find someone that can. This was one of the first successes I can credit to the PASS Summit while attending for the first time. One of the programmers from the replication team help me with an issue we were having at a Health Care company.
2. Microsoft presenters – There are already Microsoft employees scheduled for Pre-Conference sessions, but this makes more available for standard sessions about newly released updates to the Microsoft Data Platform.
3. Keynotes and announcements – Microsoft will be there for the first 2 days to announce product enhancements and guidance on the future of the Microsoft Data Platform. These keynotes provide the morning lift for the rest of the day.
